Never say never…

In the early 80’s, I said “I’d never use a computer”.
By the late 80’s it was how I made my living.
In the 90’s I said “I’d never work for a big company”, but it was the paycheck from a big company that put me through acupuncture school in the mid-90’s.
I never thought I would learn a foreign language. Or live abroad. Dare to ride a scooter through rush hour Taipei traffic. Find that sweet red beans over shaved ice would be a delightful summer treat. Or that when bargaining in Chinese “add just a little more”, actually means “I’ve accepted your price, but want to squeeze a few more RMB if I can”.
When I left the USA in the spring of 2001, flying West until it became it East, there was no such thing as a blog. I would send home occasional “travel logs” of the sights, smells and odd unwindings of Asian life. When I returned in the fall of 2005, it seems everyone was “blogging”. I didn’t get it. And still not sure I do.
But, some folks from Biznik – business networking, the networking group that doesn’t suck, got me thinking about blogs.
Biznik, is a group of independent business owners, that believes you can be small and make a big difference. That you can make money, contribute to your community and give away things and information to help make everyone’s life a little bit better. Maybe a lot better.
So with that ethic in mind, I’ve joined the blogosphere. Look here on a regular basis for information about using Chinese medicine, acupuncture and herbs to not only treat illness, but to preserve health, and promote well being.
